On Monday June 20 Honiton's Thelma Gallery will host The Arts and Culture East Devon (AECD) Network meeting.

This event is an opportunity for East Devon artists, culture organisations, creatives and performers to get together, network, plan events or collaborations and build relationships.

The principle aim of AECD is to embed the role of the arts in the cultural, social, educational, environmental and economic life of the district and increase participation in cultural activities.

The group organises three network meetings a year and the first in-person one since Covid-19 took place in February.

There will be an update on the results of the latest East Devon Culture Survey, as well news of the development of a new East Devon Cultural Strategy and the Exeter Cultural Strategy.

Fiona Page-Turner told Nub News: "Participants will have the opportunity to make new connections with other like-minded creatives and discuss opportunities, challenges, collaborations and joint-funding opportunities."

The event is free and will be held at Thelma Hulbert at 9.30am – 11am on Monday June 20.
