Thelma Hulbert Gallery is hosting an exhibition preview for Ingrid Pollard's Three Drops of Blood.

The event will take place on Saturday 6 August between 5pm and 7pm.

Three Drops of Blood is a brand-new exhibition of Ingrid Pollards work. She is a 2022 Turner Prize nominee and is one of Britain's leading contemporary artists.

This new body of work has been curated by talking on corners. It demonstrates the intimacy, care, nuance and technical skill of Pollard's extensive work. Pollard has created a series of work relating to the histories of Devon and the South West of England. It will involve photography, print, mixed media, installation, text and found objects.

The exhibition will be on display in the Georgian gallery between 6 August 2022 and 29 October 2022.

Councillor Paul Arnott, Leader of East Devon District Council will open the exhibition at 6pm on Saturday 6 August and he will give an introduction alongside the project curator, Dr Ella S. Mill.

There will be music and Caribbean canapes served, including Jamaican patties, fried plantain, spicy fried breadfruit and sweet potatoes fries. The food will be provided by Fancy That, a specialist Caribbean caterer based in South Devon.

The event is free, but donations are appreciated. Numbers are limited and booking is essential. You can book a place here.
