Train services across the South West continue to be disrupted after Storm Eunice hit the UK yesterday.
Yesterday lunchtime South Western Railway announced that it was suspending all services due to 90mph and over 30 fallen trees which were blocking trainlines.
This morning, an update on South Western Railway stated that there were now over 40 trees blocking lines which were causing severe delays and cancellations.
A spokesperson from South Western Railway said: "With many lines still blocked and trains and crew out of position, we expect to see significant disruption to the start of service today and you are urged to check your journey before setting off."
For the trains that are running, a 50mph speed limit is in place.
Passengers are urged to avoid travelling if possible, and to [L] https://www.southwesternrailway.com/plan-my-journey [L+] check the latest updates before they leave home.
Tickets for travel on yesterday's and today's trains can be used on other days with the usual administrative fees waived.
