Honiton Town Council is recruiting a Market Assistant, a role which will attract somebody who has a passion for making Honiton an even more vibrant town.

[H2] Responsibilities [H2]

Honiton Town Council holds the historic Market Charter and the successful applicant will need to work with other Town Event organisers and the retail business community to manage and help during Market days.

The role is mainly based outdoors and you will be working with the Market stallholders, shopkeepers and the public.

A robust, level head and cheerful attitude will be needed when working amongst a wide range of people.

The role will assist and work alongside the Market Superintendent and you will deputise this position during periods of absence.

Early starts are required on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday market days and heavy lifting and carrying is required.

Contract type: Fixed Term, running until 31 March 2023.

Salary: £20,092 - £22,183 (pro-rata) £10.44 - £11.53 per hour.

Hours: 12-15 hours per week on market days of Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
