Honiton's Thelma Hulbert Gallery is looking for new volunteers to join their friendly team.

Volunteers can help either in the morning or the afternoon, depending on what is convenient. Thelma Hulbert is an award-winning gallery and volunteers play a crucial role in its day-to-day running. Volunteers will be involved in a range of activities, including greeting visitors and showing them around.

This summer the gallery is hosting a busy schedule of events, including a much-anticipated exhibition by 2022 Turner Prize nominee Ingrid Pollard.

Sarah is a current volunteer at the gallery. She told Nub News:"I love being part of the volunteer team here at THG. It's like being part of a family. I really enjoy meeting interesting people and being involved with exciting new exhibitions."

Gemma Girvan is Gallery and Shop Officer at Thelma Hulbert Gallery. She explained more about the volunteering roles: "Don't worry if you don't know anything about art, we're really supportive and match your skills to the role.

"Being a volunteer is an opportunity to share your knowledge, learn new skills and maybe challenge yourself. Our volunteers have found it has given them valuable experience of working in a gallery for their CV too.

"Come and join our friendly, creative team!"
