Storm Eunice is causing damage to property in Honiton, and this morning the police temporarily closed Dowell Street to cars due to tiles being blown off the roof of a house.

Derek Appleton (aged 55) is a carer. He lives on the corner of High Street and Dowell Street in the centre of Honiton and he witnessed the incident.

Earlier this morning, he told Nub News: "The road was closed at 09:50am and is still officially closed, but people keep moving the cones/sign or driving around them. I believe it´s because of roof tiles."

Nub News understands that the road has now reopened to traffic and the cordons have been cleared.
