The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind for Devon, Somerset, Dorset and large parts of the UK.

It comes into force from 9am today (Friday 26 November) until Saturday 6pm on Saturday.

The Met Office is predicting that the high winds could cause some 'travel disruption and damage.'

According to the Met Office, winds will start to pick up on Friday afternoon.

These winds could lead to flying debris, damage to trees or property.

There is also a warning that injuries could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties.

Road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected.

The Met Office is advising people to stay inside and avoid unnecessary travel.
