Lorry fire at A30 Daisymount to Pattesons Cross

Date: 06.08.2018Time: 09:28Location: A30 Daisymount to Pattesons CrossTwo fire appliances from Middlemoor and Ottery St Mary along with the water bowser from Danes Castle were mobilised to a report of a lorry on fire in a layby on the A30 between Daisymount and Pattesons Cross. Upon arrival crews confirmed a small fire in the cab caused by a blown engine.  Crews used one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire was accidental.
