Man, 79, in 'critical condition' after Honiton A35 crash

A 79-year-old man is in a 'critical condition' in hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Honiton yesterday (Thursday 17 March).

Police were called after midday at around 12.20pm to the crash, which took place on the A35 at the junction with Pine Park Road.

The 79-year-old man was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at around 12.20pm on Thursday 17 March 2022, to a report of a two vehicle collision on the A35 at the junction with Pine Park Road in Honiton.

"As a result of the collision a 79-year-old man was taken to Royal and Devon and Exeter Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

"Officers from the Specialist Roads Policing team attended the scene and are progressing an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision."
