Man arrested for being drunk and disorderly in Honiton Aldi

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly in Honiton this afternoon (March 26).

The incident took place at the Aldi supermarket on Turks Head Lane at around 2pm.

An eyewitness told Nub News: "A man was escorted out of the supermarket by police officers.

"He was taken to a police vehicle in the car park where four officers searched his pockets and handcuffed him, before driving away."

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at 2pm today to Turks Head Lane following reports of a male refusing to leave a premises.

"A 32-year-old man from Honiton was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.

"He remains in police custody at this time."
