Driver left with 'serious injuries' after crash near Honiton - Police seek witnesses

Police are seeking witnesses after a driver sustained 'serious injuries' in a crash near Honiton.

At approximately 5.30pm on Monday, December 23, emergency services were notified of a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving a Silver Renault Megane and a Red Peugeot Boxer Panel Van on an unnamed road between Honiton and Smeatharpe, near Luppitt.

The driver of the Renault sustained serious injuries. South Western Ambulance services, including the air ambulance, attended the scene and conveyed the casualty to hospital.

The main road remained closed to allow for a forensic examination of the collision scene.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses of the incident to come forward.
