Following the recent passing of dearly beloved East Devon treasure, John Treagood, a date and time for his funeral has now been arranged.

According to a post on a Facebook page dedicated to the travelling man's life: "John's funeral will be held at Whimple Crematorium on Thursday, 27 February at 4pm.

The first of his wishes has also been carried out, with his caravan now stationed on Ide roundabout, so people can pay their respects.

"His funeral will be open to anyone that wishes to pay their respects to him.

"John did not wish for flowers at his funeral but any donations will be made to World Horse Welfare.

"John requested for bright and colourful to be worn - no black - it is to be a celebration he said.

"A time to send John off on his final travels."
