A man whose partner was helped by 'a kind lady' at the Ottery Garden Centre two years ago is trying to track down the lady concerned to thank her.

The man has put a handwritten card on the noticeboard of Honiton's Spar shop.

He doesn't give details of what happened – but says he will be at the garden centre at midday on 'Thursday, July 9' (the 9th is Friday), in the hope that the lady who helped his partner Jean will turn up.

He signs himself as Roger and gives a mobile phone number, but Honiton Nub News has tried to call it several times and apparently it's wrong.

We also contacted the shop to see if Roger had left his contact details, but they said unfortunately he hadn't done so.

Honiton Nub News would love to help Roger trace the person concerned, and learn the story of what happened at the garden centre two years ago.

If you think you know who the 'kind lady' is, or can put us in touch with Roger, please contact [email protected]
