I have lived in East Devon since 1981 and for the past 9 years in Wilmington on the outskirts of Honiton. I have been a member of the Widworthy Parish Council since 2015 I have had the privilege of being Chairman for the majority of the time.

It is important to maintain stability, financially and socially as these impact on Honiton's surroundings as well. Small communities are reliant on its strengths.

My particular interests in the Honiton County Council would be: road safety and improvements, Social Care and Economic Town stability, and environmental issues.

As an elected Honiton Town Councillor I will dedicate my time to listening to and serving the residents of the St Michael's Ward, to ensure their views are heard and to continue to improve quality of life in the Honiton.

I felt very strongly and supported the Honiton Fire Station in their successful campaign to keep it open, as well as supporting other local stations and other services - buses, trains etc.

In my role as acting Volunteer Flood, Road and Snow Warden for the Widworthy Parish I am aware of many of the road issues first-hand throughout the local area.

Currently I am working to get the A35 improvements for Wilmington and the surrounding villages and into Honiton. Personal one-to-one meetings with Neil Parish MP have been held to convey my concerns regarding the A35 safety issues. Neil is giving us his full support. I acknowledge there are many concerns for the traffic and the safety of the Honiton community which need addressing. Many thanks for your support.

The election will be held on Thursday March 10 between 7am and 10pm.

The polling stations are Honiton Library on New Street and The Heathfield Inn on Walnut Road.

There will be no election for St. Paul's Ward because there were only three applications for four available positions. Applications were received from Joseph Furneaux-Gotch, Debra Hulin and Caroline Kolek.
