It has been confirmed that the 130th Honiton Show will go ahead this year and will be held over two days.
The popular agricultural event is set to take place on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 August.
The Honiton & District Agricultural Association released a statement saying that the organising committee were 'actively making preparations for the event' which is 'a celebration of rural life'.
It said: "Throughout our deliberations and decision making the safety and wellbeing of our community, exhibitors, stewards and visitors has been of greatest importance.
"The show will be a Covid compliant event and will only go ahead if it is safe to do so and will adhere to all government and local authority regulations applicable at the commencement of the show."
This is the the first time the event will be held as a two day show since its inception in 1890.
This is in order to accommodate all possible regulatory requirements, including social distancing.
It has been deemed the best way to spread visitor numbers and enable visitors to enjoy a safe and spacious environment.
"The organising committee look forward to providing the opportunity to reunite our rural community and give our exhibitors a platform to network," it continued.
"All contractors, competitors and exhibitors will be kept fully informed of ever-changing guidelines and we are pleased to advise that trade stand applications will open this week.
"Our social media platforms will be updated in the coming weeks as more details are finalised.
"Until August, keep safe, keep well and we cannot wait to welcome you back to a hopefully, sunny Honiton Show."
