Devon and Cornwall Police have issued a number of warnings to the public after a number of incidents in Honiton, Seaton and Newton Poppleford.
In Honiton, residents have been warned of a spate of similar thefts.
A number of catalytic converter thefts took place in and around Honiton on March 16 2023.
The police are now appealing for information from members of the public regarding the incidents, in particular between midnight and 1am.
Catalytic converters helps a car clean its exhaust. The items have become a target for theft because of the price of precious metals, like palladium and platinum, that are used in the parts.
If you have any information, please contact the police by calling 101 and quoting log 17 16/03/2023.
It comes after Devon and Cornwall Police announced that Honiton Police station wil reopen in 2023, something which has been welcomed by local MPs.
This week also saw the Combe Garden Centre suffer a break-in.
The police force have also issued warnings regarding thefts from allotments in Newton Poppleford and local residents have been advised to install security measures such as CCTV cameras, shed alarms and new locking mechanisms.
In Seaton, the police have noticed an increase in the amount of anti-social behaviour taking place.
A statement from Devon and Cornwall Police: "We are taking steps working with partner agencies to reduce the anti-social behaviour and deal with the persons and vehicles involved.
"If you do happen to witness anything please do let us and the Council know."
