Property Fire at High Street, Honiton

Date: 30.01.2019Time: 16:46Location: High Street, HonitonOne fire appliance from Honiton, one from Ottery St Mary and one from Sidmouth were mobilised to reports of a fire in a bedroom where all persons were outside. Crews arrived on scene and confirmed a fire, entering the property wearing breathing apparatus and with one hose reel jet.
Crews extinguished the fire quickly and used a thermal imaging to check the property for hot spots. Positive pressure ventilation was used to clear the property of smoke. The cause of the fire was deemed to be deliberate ignition.
