The highly anticipated Honiton Carnival will take place this Saturday evening (October 26) - commencing promptly at 7.30pm.
A quick look ahead at Saturday's weather forecast and according to the MET Office there is a 50% chance of rain. In UK terms, it would be fair to say that the odds don't look too bad.
Nub News caught up with organiser, Karen Wilson, to find out any last minute updates in the run-up to the event.
She said "There will be no parking up through the High Street, which will take affect from 4pm on the day.
"All the signs are going out tonight as a prior warning for drivers.
"The closure will start just after the roundabout before Ottery Moor Lane and goes up to the Monkton Road/Kings Road A35 roundabout at the top of town.
"Diversions will be in place - which cut across past Honiton Tesco.
With regards to where people should, and shouldn't, park, Karen advised: "The Silver Street and Lace Walk carparks will be accessible.
"One thing I would ask, is if people could refrain from parking on Ottery Moor Lane - as this year we don't have access to the business park, so are lining up on the road instead.
"The procession will set off dead-on half past seven from Ottery Moor Lane.
"Prior to that, there will be music on the PA in the High Street and food vans available.
"Various bars and restaurants are also accommodating for Carnival goers."
On a final note, Karen added: "We just hope people enjoy it, and dig deep in their pockets - because we rely on the street collections to continue running."
