Road Traffic Collision - Persons Trapped at A35, Nr Shute

Date: 30.07.2018Time: 18:57Location: A35, Nr ShuteDevon and Somerset Fire Service received a call from the Ambulance service requesting our assistance at a road traffic collision at the above location.
Two appliances from Axminster and Colyton were immediately mobilised by fire control.On arrival the officer in charge confirmed that there had been a road traffic collision involving two vehicles, with one female casualty still trapped in one vehicle.
Crews quickly got to work to make the scene and vehicles safe and released the casualty using small tools to remove a seat from the vehicle. The casualty was removed onto a spinal board and handed over to the care of Ambulance personnel.Crews made sure that the scene was safe before handing over to police.
