This is the winning design in a children's competition to create a poster urging people to pick up after their dogs.
And the poster, drawn by 10-year-old Rosie from Honiton, looks set to be reproduced and put on display around the area – and possibly across East Devon.
The competition, open to anyone aged up to 16, was launched by Honiton Forward, working with the Devon Loves Dogs group and East Devon District Council, in response to an increase in dog fouling during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
After a good number of entries, Rosie's design was chosen as the winner, and she's been presented with a voucher from Honiton Pottery Workshop and a goodie bag provided by Devon Loves Dogs and Honiton Forward.
East Devon District Council are now planning to reproduce her poster and put it up around dog fouling hotspots and popular dog walking areas around Honiton and across the wider area.
Dog mess can be reported to the district council by calling 01395 517528, [email protected] or online via the council's website.
