Special VIPs expected at Gate To Plate event

A special event celebrating East Devon's top quality local food is returning for a second year and will be held on Saturday, August 10.

Gate To Plate, which is organised by East Devon District Council and its partners, celebrates East Devon's high quality local food and traditional craft produce.

Honiton town centre will be lined with stalls and entertainment will be provided for the whole family.

Last year's inaugural event was attended by HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall and attracted thousands of visitors.

Councillor Ian Thomas, leader of East Devon District Council, said: "I'm really excited that this event will be returning to the town, putting Honiton firmly on the events map for the region this summer. This year we're hoping to attract some very special VIPs."
