Star-studded East Devon food festival starts this Saturday

The Taste East Devon Festival kicks off this Saturday (September 9) and is set to be a star-studded 16 days. 

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Michael Caines and other notable chefs are involved in this years festival which showcases the best of East Devon's foodie scene. 

Honiton and its surrounding villages will be host to an impressive range of events featuring the region's renowned chefs, producers and restaurants. 

The annual festival was founded by popular local eateries including The Pig in Gittisham, The Donkey Sanctuary - home to the award-winning Kitchen restaurant - and Deer Park Country House. 

Other local restaurants are getting taking part as well.

The Coldharbour Farm Shop and Field Kitchen will host a pop-up farmer's market on Saturday 9 September where you can sample delicious locally produced food and drink including preserves, baked goods and ciders. 

The Jack in the Green will feature a specially designed Devon Menu, Lympstone Manor is offering vineyard and wine tasting days and Heron Farm is hosting a Garden BBQ.
