Students of Honiton Community College to put on Sister Act

In late July, the students of HCC- including me - will be doing their yearly production- this year being "Sister Act".

The cast follows Honiton Community College veterans such as Kayley Docherty as the loud, arguably arrogant Deloris Van Cartier- and we follow this character as her boyfriend Curtis Shank (played by yours truly) and his gang-like thugs TJ (Ellis Baker), Pablo (Lewis Bonetta) and Joey (Luke Gouldson) end up murdering a fellow gang member in cold blood.

Seeing this, Deloris flees to the police station to see Eddie (Thomas Lilley) and is put in a nunnery as witness protection.

These shows are done with an incredible amount of work put in, with Marc Culwick (the school's Theatre Studies teacher) as director and Joe Binmore (an ex-student) as musical director, and other helpers such as Laurelie Gifford on piano.

The show is to be performed at the drama hall on July 18th, 19th and the 20th- with a matinee on the Saturday (20th).

We will continue to put tremendous work into this show to make it the best it can possibly be, and shall hopefully see you all in July.
