Yellow weather warnings for thunderstorms and heavy rain have been issued for Honiton and the wider East Devon area covering the next two to three days.
Three yellow weather warnings have been issued as thunderstorms are expected to sweep across the county, starting this afternoon.
The Met Office, which issued the warnings earlier today, has said a 'few places' may see thunderstorms causing flooding and disruption.
The worst of the weather is expected to hit Honiton and wider East Devon area tomorrow and Thursday, with heavy showers predicted to hit our area late this evening.
It is currently unclear if the Met Office will extend the weather warnings into the weekend but Nub News will keep you up to date with any new warnings.
What to expect:
- Flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
- Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
- Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
