Police are investigating reports of damage to Honiton Bowling Green after mounds of turf were thrown onto the playing surface.

Police were called at 9.35pm yesterday [6 July] following reports of turf being thrown onto Honiton Bowling Green from a nearby public field.

A police spokesperson rold Nub News: "Reportedly a group of young people involved.

"Enquiries are being made to establish whether any damage has been caused to the green itself."
