UPDATE: Death of man in Beer no longer being treated as suspicious

Police have ceased their murder investigation following the death of a man located at an address on Clapp's Lane in Beer yesterday (18 May).

Devon and Cornwall Police issued this statement: "Following an extensive police investigation, the death of a man aged in his 30s is no longer being treated as suspicious.

"The criminal investigation has ceased and a 30-year-old male has been released from custody without charge.

"The enquiry will now be formally handed over to HM Coroner with supportive actions conducted by Devon and Cornwall Police."
