UPDATE: Tanker driver treated by paramedics after crash near High Street

Paramedics have treated the driver of a fuel tanker which was involved in collision in Honiton this morning for minor injuries.

Police and paramedics were sent to the crash between Honiton High Street and the B3261, involving a fuel tanker and a Vauxhall SUV, at around 9.50am today.

The two vehicle collision ended with the fuel tanker partially in ditch, according to Devon and Cornwall Police.

No fuel leaked from the tanker and the driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries by paramedics.

Police closed one lane of the A35 at 11.30am to allow recovery of the vehicles, the road reopened at 12pm and traffic is said to be coping well.
