The Easter Bank Holiday weekend is fast approaching and most people are set to get two days off and a lovely four-day weekend.

What with lockdown easing and the rule of six back, it is really starting to feel like Spring.

But bank holidays also cause disruption to our usual services – not least the waste and recycling collections.

Collections for Honiton and surrounding area might be different from usual, and East Devon District Council are reminding residents to check when to put their waste and recycling out for collection.

Here's everything you need to know about the bank holiday waste and recycling collections in Honiton:

All refuse and recycling collections normally due on Friday (April 2) will be collected one day later on Saturday (April 3).

Collections for the week commencing Monday (April 5) will also be one day later than usual for the whole week.

The normal collection timetable will resume week commencing Monday (April 12).
