Honiton has long been leading the way when it comes to dementia awareness and providing support for those affected.

Honiton Dementia Action Alliance (HDAA), which runs the town's Memory Cafe and has helped secure a dedicated Admiral Nurse, campaigns tirelessly to improve the lives of people and families living with dementia in the community.

Indoor hospitality venues will reopen and hugging will be allowed as the country moves to the next step out of coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

Significant parts of the hospitality industry will reopen from today and people are being advised to use common sense and personal responsibility rather than government rules when it comes to social distancing, after data confirmed the government's "four tests" for easing Covid restrictions had been met.

This Foster Care Fortnight (10 - 23 May) Devon County Council's fostering service, 'Fostering Devon' is launching an urgent appeal to find more foster carers for teenagers.

There are currently 821 children in care in Devon, but only 336 fostering households. Almost 70% of those in care are young people aged 11 to 18 years old.

During the Spring 2020 lockdown volunteers from across the nation plotted a network of walking routes that connect all of Great Britain's towns and cities.

Without leaving home over 7,000 'Slow Ways' walking routes were mapped using existing paths, trails and roads. Combined, the routes stretch for 100,000km and lap the equator twice.
