Lucy and Vanessa at Home Instead Exeter and East Devon

During the first week of April, Home Instead Exeter and East Devon put the kettle on for Hospiscare and joined in their coffee month to raise vital funds so that Hospiscare can support end-of-life care in the community.

Home Instead's family of CAREGivers were invited to visit their office in Budleigh Salterton where they were presented with an Easter goodie bag made up of a new Jute Home instead bag including a branded water bottle, a Lindt chocolate easter bunny, a pack of mini eggs, a pen, 10-year anniversary badge and a travel mug which was filled for them with coffee or tea.

Following the Government's 'roadmap' in further lifting restrictions, two thirds of Devon's Top Attractions have now reopened their doors and are welcoming visitors back to enjoy their outdoor facilities.

Although they are only partially open of course, with restrictions and limited capacity still in place, all of the attractions have reported a positive start in the first week of the season.

Honiton Town Council has been working with a local landowner, Combe Estates, to provide long awaited and in high demand allotments on land at Battishorne Way.

Planning permission has been granted by East Devon District Council and a lease for the site has been signed. An application for funding to East Devon District Council was successful and the grant funding agreement was completed in January of this year.

Inspired by a member of staff, whose daughter received a shock cancer diagnosis, WBW Solicitors has teamed up with a cancer charity for children and young people to raise vital funds and awareness.

Will Vine, Partner at WBW Solicitors, has inspired WBW to choose CLIC Sargent for their partner of the year after his daughter, Lily, was diagnosed with cancer in June 2020.
