Vaccination update for Honiton

Nearly half of Devon and Cornwall's adult population have now had their first Covid-19 vaccine.

In East Devon 39.1 per cent of the population have received at least one dose. Honiton and the surrounding area has recorded a total of 4,435 vaccinations so far.

The impact of Brexit on Devon's fishing industry won't be fully seen until Covid restrictions are relaxed, according to a report to the county council.

But one councillor has said Brexit has been 'a disaster' for the industry, and said he wants the council to join local fishermen in calling on the government to address the problems caused by new export rules, a lack of clarity over fishing quotas and increased red tape.
