No further grants for this year will be awarded to local organisations in Honiton, despite the town council suggesting more money would be made available.
Since the January meeting – in which the grant application deadline was extended with the promise of more funding – council members have gone back on that agreement, stating that 'unfortunately' it is not possible to award further grants in 2020/21.

An extra phone number for over 70s to book their Covid jab has gone live today and will be open until Sunday.
The number is 01626 204920 and can be used 9am-5pm from Friday, February 12 until Sunday, February 14 only.
More cash will be spent on pothole repairs in Honiton if councillors back a new budget on Thursday.
An extra £600,000 will be added to the county council's roads budget under the new plan.

Nearly 300,000 people in Devon – more than a quarter of the population – have had their first Covid-19 vaccine, latest NHS England figures show.
The statistics, which provide the position as of February 7, show that there have been 284,342 vaccinations in the county, with 271,603 of them being the first dose.

The NHS in Devon is offering advice to people aged over 70 on how to contact the NHS about getting a coronavirus vaccine.
On Monday, February 8, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock, encouraged anyone over 70 who has not yet been vaccinated to get in touch with the NHS about booking an appointment.
