Help celebrate The Donkey Sanctuary's 50th anniversary with the inaugural 'Dawdle for Donkeys' fundraising walk. It is the perfect way to get out and about with family and friends to enjoy the beautiful countryside surrounding the Sidmouth sanctuary and raise vital funds to help donkeys and mules in need.

Held on Saturday, June 15, the route takes in stunning views over the world famous Jurassic Coast and gives people the chance to meet many of the friendly resident donkeys in their paddocks, showing how the money raised directly helps improve their lives The walk is split between a family-friendly five kilometre ramble, or a more adventurous 10 kilometre course.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from a neighbour reporting a fire in a domestic dwelling at the above location.

On arrival the incident commander confirmed a fire located on the ground floor of the property. Two firefighters were deployed with breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

On arrival, the Incident Commander confirmed that there was smoke issuing from the ground floor of the property with one person unaccounted for.
