East Devon householders are among the best in the country at recycling.

With Christmas behind us many people are wondering what to do with their real Christmas trees, thankfully East Devon District Council is putting on a special Christmas tree mulching event in Honiton.

The Christmas Tree recycling event will be taking place in Honiton's Lace Walk car park on Tuesday, January 7, between 8.30am and 11.30am.

An online petition has been circulating which aims to 'tell Neil Parish that his constituents don't want fox hunting legalised', despite him allegedly claiming that the ban on fox hunting might be repealed.

The petition was started yesterday (December 29) by Sarah Perris, with the caption: "On Boxing Day in Tiverton, Neil Parish stated he would look into repealing the laws against fox hunting.

Thousands of NHS patients and visitors in England will soon be able to access free hospital car parking, something already underway at Honiton's community hospital, under a new approach set out by Health Secretary Matt Hancock.

Currently, NHS trusts are responsible for making their own car parking arrangements, including setting any charges. But Honiton has long insisted that its car park is free, even if at times, there are complaints about over crowding.
