Some of you might have noticed there was no "Woz on" last week and you were probably glad of the rest.

The reason for the lapse was I was away down in Cornwall (as they say), getting the last of the summer rays and doing a bit of surfing on sun kissed, deserted beaches, twas blinkin lubbly.

A planning application has been submitted to East Devon District Council - validated on September 12 - to 'change the use' of what was formerly The Dolphin Hotel, now known as Montgomery's Hotel on Honiton High Street.

The applicant, Great Western Properties Ltd., has plans to transform the premises, which has been in disuse since the closure of The Orange Tree, into a restaurant.
