Andrea Levy's Orange Prize-winning novel Small Island comes to life in an epic new theatre adaptation. The Thursday, June 27th performance will be captured live on stage at the National Theatre and broadcast live to cinemas including The Beehive, Honiton at 7pm.

Small Island embarks on a journey from Jamaica to Britain, through the Second World War to 1948 – the year the HMT Empire Windrush docked at Tilbury.

Having enjoyed a successful initial six months of business operating as a garden centre, the Combe Estate run establishment has now officially opened an adjoining restaurant and shop area.

Called 'The Kitchen', the 85-seat eatery caters for breakfast, light bites as well as main meals. It also serves as a cafe offering freshly made coffees, speciality teas and a selection of cakes and sweet treats.
