A coat has been recovered from the River Exe after a police helicopter spotted it during a search for missing Bicton woman Irene McMullan.

The National Police Air Service, the body that manages police helicopters, tweeted the news yesterday through its Exeter account, the tweet stated: "Crew of aircraft located a coat in the River Exe recovered by @ExmouthRNLI. No trace of female, further on and in-shore searches continue."

Police are concerned for the safety of Irene McMullan, who went missing from her home in Bicton, East Budleigh, Budleigh Salterton, Devon, earlier today (07/04/19).

She is described as 5'7", slim/medium build, long wiry, dark black hair, wearing a green top, jeans, brown boots and a black coat. She is Irish.

Location: Airfield Industrial Estate, Dnkeswell

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a commercial building fire at the above location.  Two fire engines from Honiton one from Cullompton along with the Aerial Ladder Platform from Taunton were mobilised to this incident.
Upon arrival crews confirmed smoke and flames issuing and requested a further three fire engines and a water carrier which were mobilised to the incident.   
Crews confirmed one commercial building measuring approx. 8m x 20m to be well alight involving an asbestos roof, the fire was sectorised into sectors one and three.  In sector three crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and cutting gear to access the electrical isolation point.  Within sector one crews used two ground monitors.
The incident is ongoing..
