Be prepared for a thoroughly spine-tingling, energetic evening on Friday 23rd June, when Musical & Creative Director, Edward Jacobs presents his "Feelgood Fantasia".
This performance will focus on the popular and irrepressible trio Trichord, with Hilda and James Clemas and Edward and some of the very best local professional; musicians and vocalists, including Jim Newton, drummer, Katarina Kovac, pianist, plus Jacqueline Bourne and Mary Bowles singers.
The musicians and vocalists will be joined by enthusiastic members of two local choirs – an 83-strong group of members from the East Devon based Axe Valley Community Choir and Dorset based Jurassic Coast Inspirational Choir. There will be powerful chorus and band numbers, gentle emotive vocal solos and some surprising instrumental items all meshed together to satisfy a wide taste in musical genres. Sit back and relax to well-known standards, foot-tapping popular songs, fantastic film themes, dreamy Disney melodies and more!
A bit about Edward Jacobs, the Musical & Creative Director himself.
Edward Jacobs is an accomplished musician, pianist, musical director and music teacher. He is passionate about making, performing and sharing music with people from all walks of life, particularly if opportunities present themselves to help lift spirits in our current more turbulent times. - "My aim for this performance is to bring together some of the very best musicians with whom I collaborate and members of two vibrant and enthusiastic choirs which I'm lucky enough to work with regularly."
