Honiton Netball Club are celebrating their 10-year anniversary in style after their U16 Tsunamis team qualified for South West Regional League 2, after competing at the county qualifier tournament on Sunday, September 12.

The club would like to thank Roger Doble and Honiton Football Club for providing a minibus to transport the teams on the day.

In a tough competition the team, who are mainly U15, fought hard to finish 4th and earn a spot in the regional league. U14 Blaze who also attended the tournament gave a good account of themselves but did not qualify in their age group. U16 Tsunamis will complete in the league against other teams from Devon Cornwall Somerset and Dorset. This is the first time the club have qualified since setting up in 2011.

Over 10 years the club has gone from strength to strength and now boasts over 150 members from age 6 to 50+ , 7 junior teams and 5 senior teams.

The club is now looking for a sponsor for the team to support their regional journey and any local businesses interested should contact [email protected].
