A family business in Dunkeswell has won a Prestige Award from Corporate LiveWire for best Dog Service in the South of England!

Jenny Rowland (aged 40) is the owner of Walking Woofs. The business provides a variety of services for dogs, including rural dog walking, day care and home from home boarding. All of the staff members are trained in canine first aid

The business was founded in 2016, and in 2019 Jenny's husband Chaz joined the business to help in the daily care of the dogs.

Jenny told Nub News: "Receiving this award is such an honour, especially given the past 2 years of Covid-19.

"We put so much hard work into our business that it's nice to see such a recognition.

"We absolutely love what we do, seeing the joy we bring to the dogs every day is why we do it. It's all about them!

"Our team are all trained in canine first aid and dog behaviour and ensure that the dog's happiness, health and welfare are the uppermost importance in whatever we do."

Jenny and her team were delighted to receive an anonymous nomination for the Corporate LiveWire Awards, which celebrate the very best businesses across the UK and internationally.

Walking Woofs was shortlisted in the dog care category.

Once a business is shortlisted, the company is required to support the nomination with evidence of work ethic, positive feedback, accreditation and by highlighting the exceptional parts of the business.

Walking Woofs were able to show that they had received over a hundred 5* reviews from satisfied customers and the judging panel were suitably impressed by the company's excellent services, ethical values and very high standards of care.

Jenny has plans to grow the business even more! She would like to open a dog rehabilitation unit, a groom room and a shop. Watch this space!
