In preparation for the 75th VE Day celebration tomorrow (8 May), 1st Honiton Scout Group have erected poppy displays, which have been lovingly handcrafted by volunteers.

A 'waterfall' of poppies has been hung in the window of the Honiton Scout hall on Dowell Street, along with VE Day emblems to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of World War Two in Europe.

Scout Leader, Helen Turner commented: "The hall windows have been decorated ready for tomorrow.

"A waterfall of poppies is in the window, but it does not do it justice.

"It was meant to hang in The Beehive if we were not on lockdown, where it would have looked so much better.

"We also attached some bottle-top poppy pictures to an Army Landrover, which my boss owns."
