Honiton Scouts create new laws for UK Parliament Week

When the Scout Group took part in UK Parliament Week earlier this term, they were asked to colour a rosette and choose a name for their own Parliamentary Party.

They also had to make up some new laws that they would like to bring in if their party won.

Ethan came up with a new law that children should eat ice cream every day!

Gordon Legg, who owns East Devon Ices, was asked if he could pop along to the Beaver Section Meeting on Thursday evening to give Ethan and the other Beavers an ice cream.

Ethan could not believe his eyes when he turned up and saw the ice cream van waiting for him.

A big thank you to Gordon and East Devon Ices for putting a smile on the Beaver's faces who thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream of their choice.

Another of our Beavers did not think that our MP Neil Parish would answer a question if we emailed him.

So we emailed him with the ballot question that the Beavers were doing (chocolate biscuit or jam and cream swiss roll) and we got an answer.

The answer was jam and cream swiss roll, which is the way the Beavers voted on the night.
