On Sunday 10 November, Honiton's annual Remembrance Day Parade will take place in New Street at 2.15pm - followed by the wreath laying and a service in St. Paul's Church on the High Street at 3pm.

The Honiton Branch of The Royal British Legion recently published this notice: "We have currently banked £20,562 for 2018/19 so a massive thank you to everyone involved and thank you to the people of Honiton.

"Plus a further £2,299 was raised in Feniton.

"We start our new appeal for 2019/20 on 26 October 2019."

Every year, on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, at the eleventh hour we stand for a two-minute silence to remember those who have given their lives to fight for our freedom.

Armistice Day marks the official end of World War One in 1918. This year, the Remembrance Act of Homage will take place on Monday 11 November.

Honiton will hold an act of homage at the War Memorial outside St. Paul's Church, with the parade commencing at 10.45am.
