Sixth form students and staff at Honiton Community College are raising the bar with a 24-hour continuous dance challenge in aid of charity.
All proceeds will go towards the Honiton Memory Cafe musical programme, which aims to provide a year's worth of music orientated activities for its members.
Throughout the entire day on Saturday, March 12 a dance-a-thon will run at the college, with each hour being a different genre of music.
"Something for everyone!" as stated on the Virgin Money Giving page (link below).
"This a brilliant way to involve our whole community in raising awareness about the power of music for people affected by dementia and to raise funds for our Honiton Memory Café musical programme.
Adding, "we would very much appreciate all of your support."
Nub News spoke to the person behind Honiton's Memory Cafe, Heather Penwarden, who told us: "Music and dance are such important aspects of our Honiton Memory cafe activities.
"Music lifts the spirits, triggers nostalgia and brings people together in friendly and sociable groups.
"We are absolutely delighted that Honiton Community College students have chosen to support our Honiton Memory Cafe musical programme with the proceeds from an amazing 24-hour fundraising dance-a-thon.
"We wish them all luck in this mighty endeavour and look forward to joining them in support with a few waltzes and quick steps of our own!"
