Bests of Honiton has reopened today, with safety measures in place to ensure social distancing and prevent the spread of the virus.

The decision is in-line with Government guidelines, which detailed homeware retailers as essential and able to reopen back in May.

Bests, a family-run business which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, sells beds, mattresses and furniture from its shop on the High Street.

Shop owner, Rob Curry told Honiton Nub News: "We are really glad to be back open at last. It's a been a long couple of months.

"Obviously, we aren't expecting many customers to begin with due to the fact that other shops are not yet open and the High Street is much quieter at the moment.

"On a plus side, it's been the longest time my wife and I have had off and we've really appreciated spending more quality time with the family."
