Honiton's Memory Cafe is one of the fantastic community groups being celebrated by Devon County Council as part of national Volunteers Week.
The Memory Cafe, which is currently celebrating its tenth birthday, will be one of a number of Devon community groups to be singled out by Devon County Council as it celebrates the week.
Each day on the county council's social media channels a group will be put in the spotlight for the fantastic work they have done during the coronavirus pandemic.
A spokesperson for DCC said: "We're celebrating with Keith and Heather. It's Honiton Memory Cafes tenth birthday, and despite lock down, they've arranged 88 cream teas to be delivered to homes of friends and volunteers of the cafe."
Councillor Barry Parson, cabinet member for organisational development, said: "Despite everything right now – despite lock down, despite hardship that many families are feeling, despite bereavement in too many cases – people's spirit still is shining through.
"This week we want to celebrate volunteers, and every act they perform in the interests of others, whether they know them or not.
"Volunteers tend not to volunteer for the thanks, but here's Devon County Council celebrating Volunteer Week with a big thank you to every one of you volunteers, everywhere."
Look out for Keith and Heather's mention on the council's Facebook page.
