As Christmas approaches the organisers behind Operation Rudolph want to make sure that no one in the community goes without a hot meal on Christmas day.
Deputy Manager at TRIP, Sharon Thorne said: "There is normally a meal for those who would otherwise have been on their own laid on at The Beehive.
"However, due to the pandemic it cannot take place this year."
Wishing to fill that gap, Operation Rudolph decided to provide a hot meal delivery service, with a friendly face to say hello.
"This is not just for the elderly, who might otherwise be on their own or unable to cook, but for anyone who is unable to provide a meal due to financial, welfare or other barriers," Sharon explained.
"It's not means tested but donations are welcome, although not expected!
"This has been a challenging year for many families and we just want people to know there is support out there."
Sharon added: "I have been overwhelmed with the generosity of the business and people of Honiton again, giving their time and donating to make sure no one goes without."
If you or you know anyone who may benefit please call TRIP on 01404 46529, or visit the website.
If you wish to volunteer there is a brief form online - even 30 minutes could make the most amazing difference to someone's day.
