Bottles of hand sanitiser have been stolen from a Honiton surgery as Coronavirus fears increase in the town.

Honiton Surgery, on Marlpits Lane, has issued a patient announcement today after antibacterial hand gel and hand sanitiser was stolen from the surgery's waiting areas last week.

A spokesperson for Honiton Surgery said: "We are aware there is a national shortage of antibacterial hand gel and hand sanitiser. Please can we kindly ask our patients NOT to take bottles from the surgery.

"A number of bottles have been stolen from waiting areas in the last week."
