FORCE Cancer Charity, which operates a localised chemotherapy service from Honiton Hospital, is asking for your support through this difficult time.
Fundraising Development Officer, Olly Watts explained: "We have been asked to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.
"At the moment the Government is suggesting we can take one form of exercise per day.
"How about using this opportunity to get out there, improve your fitness, feel great and reach a new goal while helping to support FORCE?
"Do you reckon you could achieve a total distance of 26 miles in one month?
"The beauty of this fundraising event is that you are in total control of how and when you complete it.
"There is no specific day, time or place to take on this challenge.
"It's about how you feel and what you think you are able to achieve each day to get you to that magical 26 mile goal.
"So whether you are a walker, you are looking to start running or you're a regular runner, why not give The 26 Mile Marathon Challenge a go and take your first stride today.
"Please help FORCE by setting up a Virgin Money Giving page and ask family and friends to sponsor you.
"Are you up for it?
"Ready…Steady…GO!
"We've created a Facebook group for you to join the team and we'd love you to upload your pictures, your results and your highs and lows.
"Just like the fight against COVID-19, we are all in this together."
