Tesco Honiton donated £250 to the town's Christmas Lights Campaign today.

The money comes from an ongoing community book sale located in the stores' foyer.

Through the sale of donated books, money is given to charity groups and projects located in and around Honiton.

Tesco Honiton Community Manager and Town Councillor, Duncan Sheridan-Shaw was there to present the check.

He said: "The donation will help towards maintaining the Christmas lights for the future and upgrading the display.

"Tesco will see their logo hanging from prominent points in the town centre, so it's an effective way to advertise.

"It's also great to be able to contribute to something that brings so much joy - not only to the people of Honiton, but for others who come here to enjoy Honiton as a visitor destination."

Other groups and organisations are invited to contact Duncan at the Honiton Town Council offices, located at the Beehive, to learn more about the Tesco Honiton community book sale funds and how they might benefit.
